The 4-Link suspension is ideal for making a modern drag car work. Whether you are making your car squat or separate, having the correct geometry to meet those requirements is critical.

Based off our race-proven VAN-28C Housing Brackets which have consistently won in every category of door slammer racing, this is Billet 4-Link Housing Bracket takes things to the next level.

SPECIFICATIONS

Designed for housings with 3-1/2” diameter axle tubes, the Billet 4-Link Housing Brackets incorporate three upper adjustment holes stretching over 4” from axle centerline.

The lower half of the bracket features seven adjustment locations over two rows for extra fine 3/8” adjustments reaching over 8-1/2” from axle centerline.

The integrated Adjustable Shock Mount locations allow you to run virtually any tire and shock combination. Our race-proven Billet Shock Mounts are a perfect complement to this bracket set and provided up to 4” of height adjustment over 1/2″ increments. CNC machined from 4140 steel; the TMR-1215 series Adjustable Shock Mounts provide superior rigidity for your suspension in comparison to aluminum shock mounts.

BILLET vs. FLAT PLATE BRACKETS

What do you get out of a Billet 4-Link Housing Bracket compared to a traditional weld-in 1/4″ plate?

These brackets begin from a solid billet of 4130 are and machined for a precision fit that you cannot achieve with a waterjet or laser cutter. Machining also eliminates work-hardening that is also a common side effect of laser cutting which makes the material more difficult to fabricate and weld.

In contrast to a 1/4″ flat plate, the Billet 4-Link Housing Brackets feature strategically placed gussets and reinforcements in key areas of the plates as well as enhanced pocketing and lightening. This adds up to a weight savings of approximately 7/8lb PER bracket when compared to a similar plated bracket with doublers.

Moreover, these brackets incorporate bolt hole doublers, simplifying the installation process compared to purchasing doublers separately and spending hours aligning them correctly, welding in place and reaming holes post-fabrication.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Aside from the strategic reinforcement, doublers and lightening, the Billet 4-Link Housing Brackets incorporate landing points for tubular gussets between the brackets and the housing housing shell. Weld interfaces can also be found along edges, gusset points and axle tubes.
