What is your return policy?

Please review our Return and Refund Policy page for complete details prior to returning your items.

Quick Overview:
• Missing or damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
• Return requests must be made within 14 days of delivery.
• All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Customers have the option of using their refund as in-house credit to avoid the 15% restocking fee.
• Special orders, custom parts, oversized and non-stock items are not eligible for return.
• Orders that have been processed but canceled prior to shipping will be subject to payment processing fees.
• All sales are final. Parts and labor are sold on a development basis. There is no warranty stated or implied due to the unusual stress placed on racing parts where we have no control over installation and use.

How long will it take to get my shipment?

Most orders are able to ship out that day however, this depends on several factors:

  • Where you are located
  • If the product is in stock
  • If the product is custom made
  • If the product is drop-shipped

How are orders processed?

Orders are manually processed when using a credit card and therefore we can adjust the cost of shipping as needed. Orders over $3,000.00 require a consent form to charge your credit card. New customers ordering high priced items that select express shipping will also have to fill out a consent form.

My shipping estimate is higher than expected. Is this accurate?

  1. We make every effort to provide affordable shipping for our products.
  2. We only charge you for the actual cost of shipping.
  3. Many of our products such as composites are large and generally expensive to ship.
  4. Our online shipping estimator is very good, but not perfect. Especially with multiple large items. Continue reading below to learn more…
  5. Different delivery locations, time of year and sizes impact freight costs. Continue reading below to learn more…

Sometimes the website estimates shipping incorrectly due to the wide variety of item sizes in our catalog.

This is especially noticeable when ordering multiple large items such as carbon fiber seats. To estimate shipping, the website’s packing algorithm looks at each seat individually.

In reality, we can safely pack multiple seats in a single box which would reduce your shipping charges.

In all cases, we do our best to provide you the lowest price available from the carrier.

If your online shipping estimate is higher than actual shipping charges, you will only be charged what freight costs.

Feel free to email [email protected] or call during normal business hours and we can double-check the shipping cost for you. However, you will only be charged for the actual cost of shipping.

SCENARIOS THAT INCREASE SHIPPING COST

  • Large items (tubs, seats, scoops, doors, etc.) are expensive to ship in general.
  • Residential addresses are more expensive to ship to than commercial.
  • Rural locations increase the cost of shipment.
  • Items over 48” increase the price of a shipment… One way to mitigate this with tubing for example, is to order shorter lengths, but more pieces instead of longer with the same overall length. This can greatly reduce shipping cost.
  • Time of year. Shipping costs increase around the holiday season.
  • Package redirects. If you submitted the wrong shipping address or have a scenario that requires a package to be redirected after carrier pick up, carriers will charge anywhere from $5-100 for a redirect in the same vicinity.

My item has to be shipped via freight. How does this work?

• After you place an order that requires shipment via LTL freight, a salesperson will contact you to go over the process.
• When your order is complete and ready to ship, a salesperson will provide a final freight quote for approval.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WITH LTL FREIGHT

  • Items being shipped to a commercial address are generally less expensive than residential.
  • Freight shipments cannot be delivered without someone present to accept the delivery.
  • If you do not have the equipment required to unload the shipment, you can request “liftgate service” prior to shipping.
  • Some freight shipments such as a body kit or chassis require larger trucks. Please ensure that your location has room for these vehicles to operate.
  • If you do not have a location acceptable for delivery trucks, sometimes arrangements can be made for you to pick up your shipment from the freight terminal.

I did not receive a confirmation email or a tracking number, do you provide either?

TMRC does not collect International Duties and Taxes. Customers are responsible for duties and taxes applicable to their order.

What is a PCI vs PCC Chassis serial number?

PCI – Welded Chassis
A TMRC chassis serial number starting with PCI indicates that the original chassis was constructed and welded at Tim McAmis Race Cars. In some instances, this may include other work such as a mounted body. However, a PCI serial number is not a complete build.

Many times, customers or other chassis shops like to purchase a welded chassis and complete the finish work on their own using our kits and components.

PCC – Complete Car
A TMRC chassis serial number starting with PCC indicates that the original car was constructed and completed at Tim McAmis Race Cars.

Before purchasing a used car claimed to have been constructed by TMRC, you can always call us during normal business hours to verify the serial number, original owner, and any other information we may have available.
