Adjustable Strut Cups have been around for years in various forms and configurations. So many in fact, that it has become problematic. For every Adjustable Strut Cup model that has a unique feature, it lacks in others. This leaves racers constantly having to purchase different upgrades to make their setups work.

Common cups lead to binding and clearance issues during travel or don’t have enough room for top adjusters. To fix this, you can buy a long travel kit. If you want more than 1-1/2” of adjustment, you must purchase a separate adjustable body. If you need certain tools, you must buy them separately. Some cups require disassembly and shims to adjust, others are difficult to use, and the list goes on…

Frustrated by the large variety of options that lack in options, we decided to start from scratch and design an Adjustable Strut Cup Kit that checks all the boxes…

ALL TRAVEL

The TMRC Adjustable Strut Cup Kit contains a larger diameter to accommodate both short and long travel struts.

FULL ARTICULATION

The Stainless Steel Safety Washer and Thrust Bearing Support have been meticulously engineered in conjunction with the adjustable body to allow a full 19 degrees (9.5 from center) of bearing articulation during travel. This is a massive increase to prevent binding when compared to most adjustable strut cups which only provide 3-5 degrees from center.

MORE ADJUSTMENT

Most strut cups allow up to 1-1/2” of height adjustment, and users routinely find the need for more. In this scenario, they are left to purchase an “upgrade” for more adjustment or extending the adjustable body further out of the steel body, losing proper thread engagement.

The TMRC Adjust Strut Cup Kit was designed with a taller adjustable body to allow 2” of height adjustment while still retaining all allowable thread engagement with the steel cup.

Additionally, the Steel Strut Cup features a taller 2-5/8” of weldable surface area, giving you a large area for landing your strut tubes and gussets when mounting.

SUPERIOR MATERIALS & FINISHES

Instead of using 6061 aluminum for the adjustable strut cup body which is typically found in most kits, we chose to machine our adjustable bodies from 7075-T6, a superior alloy which is harder and features a higher strength to weight ratio than 6061. Furthermore, where most kits leave the raw material unfinished, we opted for a hard coat anodizing process that provides increased lubricity, wear resistance and corrosion protection.

Taking it a step further our hardware is machined from extremely tough and durable stainless steel instead of unfinished 6061 as found in many kits.

PROPER MOUNTING & FABRICATION

One of the key factors in getting the most out of your set of Adjustable Strut Cups is mounting them properly. We commonly see installations where the cups are misaligned from the strut when installed which reduces their usability.

Another common issue is the welding process where users destroy the threads in their steel cups and must buy expensive taps or a new cup to repair/replace their new components.

Why is this? Most manufacturers do not provide adequate documentation and instructions for installation.

The TMRC Adjustable Strut Cup Kit comes with detailed instructions that outline how to locate your cups properly as well as a guide to welding your steel cups to prevent issues with threads.

To provide the overall best experience, we have even created an Adjustable Strut Cup Weld Fixture (TMR-2400WF) which is an affordable tool that ensures the correct alignment of your Adjustable Strut Cups with the strut. Additionally, the Weld Fixture is used in place of your anodized adjustable body during fabrication to protect your new components.

QUALITY TOOLS INCLUDED

The TMRC Adjustable Strut Cup Kit come standard with all the tools needed to adjust your assembly as well as a socket tool for top nut removal. This socket tool allows for a 7/16 socket to be inserted to hold the strut shaft. These tools feature a unique tool holder to keep them together in your tool drawer or while working on the vehicle.

ANTI-SNAG DUST CAPS

Due to the taller adjustable body in our kit, the upper tool interface may extend above the steel strut cup in some installations. We designed a specific cap for this kit that can be left on the car to prevent snags when working as well as keep dust from accumulating inside the adjustable body. Unlike off-the-shelf dust caps which end up popping off on track, these caps integrate directly with the body and feature an anti-slip texture. Caps can easily be removed with the stainless spanner tool or screwdriver.

We believe we have found a resolution to most of the common issues with Adjustable Strut Cups today making this kit the most comprehensive and best value on the market today.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Adjustable Strut Cup Assemblies come with bearing and 11/16” reduce bushing pre-installed.
• Compatible with common struts such as Strange, Lamb, Penske, Santhuff and other similar designs.
• Each full rotation of adjustable body is 1/8″ of height adjustment.
• *2″ height adjustment allows for full thread engagement with steel cup.
• A loaner tap is available upon request if your threads are damaged during the welding process. We highly recommend using a TMR-2400WF Weld Fixture and following the detailed welding instructions.
