Drive Shaft Enclosure Kit

Description

A minimum 12” enclosure which covers the slip yoke and drive shaft is required in order to protect a driver by retaining a broken or lose drive shaft in the event of driveline failure.

TMRC’s extreme duty Drive Shaft Enclosure creates a double layer of containment with its floating enclosure design. Unlike basic designs where the enclosure is welded to drive shaft loops, this system allows the enclosure tube to take the initial impact of a driveline failure and often retains a drive shaft without causing damage to the outer loops. Repair or replacement of the enclosure section is much easier and less expensive than replacing an entire unit that is to its outer loop(s).

The 18″ enclosure section is comprised of 0.050″ wall 4130 split into two sections that weld together. This allows you to customize the 5.5″ OD enclosure for various driveshaft diameters and angles.

The second layer of protection in the TMRC Drive Shaft Enclosure system is an ultra-strong Removable Drive Shaft Loop (TMR-1180K – Not Included) that features superior strength and quality.

TMRC’s Drive Shaft Enclosure Kits are available in several configurations for use with multiple transmission and drive shaft combinations.

Use the included T-Spud and quick pin at the rear of the tube along with a TMR-1180K Removable Drive Shaft Loop (Not Included) for a solid installation.
