Most sanctioning bodies have seen the light and are requiring engine ballistic restraints for their classes of racing. Whether or not the association you race with makes this a mandatory item it is just common sense to install one of these on your car.

We have seen many chassis that were not repairable due to the engine breaking at the finish line and putting oil under the rear tires. It seems like a small price to pay when you consider the cost of a chassis repair.

This Universal Engine Diaper from Stroud Safety is designed to keep oil off the track and away from the driver in the event of a catastrophic failure. This NON SFI engine containment device is constructed of quality Nylon and fits most motor and oil pan combinations when installed properly.

Includes adjustable straps that can be wrapped around frame rails or tabs that can be installed on header fasteners. If you are constantly removing your diaper for routine maintenance or inspections, be sure to upgrade to the Quick Release Latch option. The Q/R latch allows your main mounting/adjustment straps to remain in place while the diaper is removed.
