Being a nobleman who likes to experiment with different techniques in order to gain horsepower, I can appreciate the philosophy behind this scoop. After replacing countless hood scoops, remounting the isolator trays, liners and scoop itself, each nitrous backfire tends to become a pain to one’s rear. After watching the test video on Dragzine we decided to purchase one of these to try. The worst case scenario would require us replacing another scoop in the event of a backfire. Much to my delight, after a few tremendous BOOMS that would certainly require a new scoop, the burst panel hood scoop has prevailed. The panel exhausts the excess pressure as designed. Surprisingly, the burst panel itself has remained in good continuation without need for a replacement. So far, when the car has backfired, all we’ve had to do is replace the breakaway rivets. This scoop has been a great investment and may be the last scoop we ever have to buy. Thank you.
