CED To Debut 2015 Z06 Corvette Pro Mod
(03-16-2015) BATON ROUGE, LA –Darryl and Cassandra Felps, owners of Competition Engine Designs, LLC (CED) a family based business located in the heart of Louisiana, are excited to announce the first 2015 Z06 themed C7 Corvette Pro Mod. Staying true to the Z06 all aluminum supercharged engine, CED has designed and built an all aluminum big block Chevy based power plant utilizing a CED customized, coated and blueprinted R980 Whipple supercharger.
Featuring a lightweight carbon fiber body and Chrome-Moly chassis kit from the industry respected Tim McAmis Race Cars shop in Hawk Point, Missouri. The chassis is being constructed by Darrell Escoyne, owner of Escoyne Fabrication in Arnaudville, Louisiana, his craftsmanship will aid in bringing the vision of this car to life.
Fans will be excited to see the 2015 Z06 badging and styling cues carried out in this fresh approach to Pro Mod styling, setting ourselves apart from other C7 Corvettes. This specialized 3M custom wrap will showcase the look of a high gloss paint job designed by Kryponite Kustomz located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Kris Horton from Corona, California caught CED’s eye because of the true to life creativity of his work. Both Kryptonite Kustomz and Kris Horton have taken to social media to express their appreciation to partner with CED on this project. “I think it looks pretty clean…in an insane sort of way.” Kris Horton posted recently on Facebook
